The Lost World in Sabah now is GSTC certified

The environment is the third most important reason for travel and the first factor of loyalty for most of sustainable tourist. For this reason, it is essential that tourist destinations and hotels develop an offer suitable for users who are more attentive to sustainability, and aware of the need to adopt measures aimed at safeguarding the environment.

With that aimed in mind, Maliau Basin Conservation Area (MBCA) with land size 58,840 ha, also known as Sabah’s Lost World is a huge bowl of pristine forests described as one of the few remaining relatively untouched wilderness areas in the world has appointed Vireo AP to be their sustainable certification partner.

Movement Control Order that experienced by most of Malaysian doesn’t deterred MBCA top management to move forward, instead they took the opportunity by improving their staff knowledge and skill on GSTC requirements.  Now we are proud to announce the rest house in MBCA is certified according to GSTC Industry Criteria for hotel

Congratulation to the team for their hardwork and commitment.
