VIREO SRL
Vireo Srl is a certification company that provides Italian and foreign companies with sustainability certification services.
Vireo was founded in 2006, the year in which the company started collaborating with the English charity The Soil Association in the areas of FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) and PEFC (Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) certifications. Year after year, Vireo has consolidated its organization and expanded its portfolio of services offered to customers, always choosing to offer reliable and internationally recognized environmental certification.
In 2011 Vireo became the Italian partner of Acoura Marine Ltd for Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC), certification which has allowed Italian companies to access new environmental certification schemes through consolidated partnerships with prestigious international certification bodies.
Finally, 2016 Vireo established an important collaboration with the English body Interface NRM in order to be able issue ISO 9001, ISO 14001 e ISO 45001. he partnership with Interface NRM was further strengthened in 2017 when Vireo opted to work with this body for FSC certifications and PEFC certifications as well.
Also during this period, Vireo collaborated on the Eco-print© standard, a certification scheme for environmentally friendly printing, which offers guidelines for printing companies that want to reduce the impact of their printing activities on the environment. Vireo is the only certification body in charge of audits to check compliance with the requirements for Eco-print® certification.
In 2018 and 2019 Vireo achieved two other important milestones: the company was authorized to issue the MSC and ASC certifications and later Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSCT) certification, aimed at promoting sustainability and social responsibility in the world of tourism.
All Vireo Srl auditors have obtained a certificate of proficiency for lead auditors of environmental management systems.
