Vireo operates in Turkey also in cooperation with ISOQAR.
ISOQAR Turkey is a TURKAK Accredited Certification Body for Management Systems in Istanbul. It is also an exclusive representative of Alcumus ISOQAR Ltd and VIREO Srl in Turkey. Alcumus ISOQAR provides ISO Certification services with UKAS accredited which are offered through a global network of partners.
The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) is an independent organization established in 2007 by UNEP, the United Nations Environment Program, and UNWTO, the United Nations World Tourism Organization, for promoting the increased knowledge, understanding and adoption of sustainable tourism practices. The GSTC employs a worldwide network of members, representing a wide range of stakeholders in the tourism sector, leading international tour operators, government organizations, national tourism councils, local and international hospitality brands.
The GSTC has developed a set of standards, known also as GSTC criteria. The criteria represent the minimum requirements that any tourism business should reach for socially, economically, culturally and environmentally sustainable tourism in all the world:
GSTC C-HTO: GSTC criteria for hotels and operators;
GSTC CD: GSTC for destinations.
The GSTC Criteria are globally recognized; they should be adapted and expanded to the specific conditions of each region of the world and each industry sector. The GSTC Criteria are available on GSTC website.
They are organized around four main themes:
- demonstrate effective sustainable management;
- maximize social and economic benefits to the local community and minimize negative impacts;
- maximize benefits to cultural heritage and minimize negative impacts;
- maximize benefits to the environment and minimize negative impacts.
The criteria are revised every 3-5 years. The audits are carried by an accredited certification body. ASI (Assurance Services International) is the Accreditation Body of GSTC. Third party audits are carried out to ensure that hotels, operators and destinations meet the requirements of the scheme.
Vireo is leading the accreditation process ASI to issue the GSTC certification for hotels, tour operators and destinations. Complaints and appeals procedures are available on request.
ISOQAR Türkiye İstanbul’da faaliyet gösteren Yönetim Sistemlerinde TURKAK’dan Akrediteli bir Belgelendirme Kuruluşudur. Ayrıca, Alcumus ISOQAR Ltd’nin ve Vireo şirketinin Türkiye’deki tek temsilcisdir. Alcumus ISOQAR, küresel bir ortak ağı aracılığıyla UKAS akreditasyonlu olarak ISO Belgelendirme hizmetleri sunmaktadır.
Küresel Sürdürülebilir Turizm Konseyi (GSTC), artan bilgi, anlayış ve sürdürülebilir turizm uygulamalarının benimsenmesini teşvik etmek için UNEP, Birleşmiş Milletler Çevre Programı ve UNWTO, Birleşmiş Milletler Dünya Turizm Örgütü tarafından 2007 yılında kurulan bağımsız bir organizasyondur.
GSTC, turizm sektöründeki geniş bir paydaş yelpazesini, önde gelen uluslararası tur operatörlerini, devlet organizasyonlarını, ulusal turizm konseylerini, yerel ve uluslararası konaklama markalarını temsil eden dünya çapında bir üye ağına sahiptir.
GSTC, GSTC kriterleri olarak da bilinen bir dizi standart geliştirmiştir. Kriterler, tüm dünyada sosyal, ekonomik, kültürel ve çevresel olarak sürdürülebilir turizm için herhangi bir turizm işletmesinin ulaşması gereken minimum gereksinimleri temsil eder:
GSTC C-HTO: Oteller ve Operatörleri için GSTC kriterleri;
GSTC CD’si: Destinasyonlar için GSTC.
GSTC Kriterleri dünya çapında tanınmaktadır; bunlar dünyanın her bölgesinin ve her endüstri sektörünün kendine özgü koşullarına uyarlanmalı ve genişletilmelidir. GSTC Kriterleri, GSTC web sitesinde mevcuttur.
Dört ana tema etrafında organize edilirler:
– etkili sürdürülebilirlik yönetimi sergilemek;
– yerel topluluğa sosyal ve ekonomik faydaları en üst düzeye çıkarmak ve olumsuz etkileri en aza indirmek;
– kültürel mirasa sağlanan faydaları en üst düzeye çıkarmak ve olumsuz etkileri en aza indirmek;
– çevreye faydaları en üst düzeye çıkarmak ve olumsuz etkileri en aza indirmek
Kriterler her 3-5 yılda bir revize edilmektedir. Otellerin, işletmecilerin ve destinasyonların programın gereksinimlerini karşıladığından emin olmak için üçüncü taraf denetimleri gerçekleştirilir. Denetimler, akredite bir belgelendirme kuruluşu tarafından gerçekleştirilir.
Vireo, oteller, tur operatörleri ve destinasyonlar için GSTC sertifikası vermek üzere akreditasyon sürecine liderlik ediyor.
